Spring 2015, Why I Am Kawaii?

Happy days are here! Spring has officially begun as these pinkish, cotton candy-like, ball of fluff are everywhere in Japan. I love it! By the way, this is my very random kawaii community appreciation post. Why am I kawaii? And why I love being with my family?

Before my life with and started, I'm doing fine traveling around Australia, thinking of my next step in life. Being free like I've always wanted, only to realise that freedom is not free, it comes with a price. After my OZ trip, I was thinking of staying in the Philippines for good but then an opportunity to work closer to Tokyo appeared and I took it. It's my dream and if I won't go for it, it will haunt me.. that's what I've thought. There, I've met Kaila (who I called as my human lucky charm) and our other Kawaii.Ph friends and family. Even if we've only met once or twice during Kawaii in Manila 2, they've made me felt like I'm part of their lives and not just an option. I'm not saying that I'm receiving special treatment like how divas wanted, what I've felt is something genuine like how human beings should treat people. That they are loved, not used. I'm 25 now, and I know who's treating me well and who's abusing my kindness which I naturally am unless provoked... My life in Japan is a dream come true, kawaii lovers like me would understand. This is our mecca.

However, some where along the way, I got hurt for always wearing my heart on my sleeve (as I always do) and realise that there are things that aren't worth my time like my day job. And then here are my friends, believing in me no matter what. That's the most important thing for me, not only because I wanted to have a support system but because I treat my friends as family and fortunately, they do too.

9 Things I've Learned From My Mother

Here are some lessons I've learned from my mother wishing it'll make you laugh, be inspired or just to simply entertain.

1. Sit up straight. Straighten your back, chin up while walking and don't forget to smile.

2. Be gracious in all social events or else you'll get pinched.. and it would hurt. Haha!

3. Don't shop for shoes worth more than $200, you won't get your money back once you outgrew it.

23 Foods That You Have To Try In Japan

Just randomly thought of listing my favourite foods that I've tried and hopefully it will help people who are visiting to decide where to eat in Japan. For more tips, visit Our Kawaii Tokyo

Floresta Nature Doughnuts - I've been to their branches in Gakugeidaigaku (for take away) and Koenji (there are seats for four) in Tokyo. My favourite flavour is earl grey!

Our Kawaii Tokyo

Hi from Saitama! I'm now with Kaila working for Our Kawaii Tokyo. How to describe our OKT duties? It involves printing old-school polaroid ish photos of our whole Tokyo experience, maximizing Kaila's beloved Totoro washi tapes and stickers, silly thick paper too huge for the scanner, writing endlessly 'til it suck up all our brain cells and all good kind of stress. I'm heading back to Osaka tomorrow and I'm surely gonna miss all of these but I'm super excited because it's going to be another huge ashventure (short for Ashley's adventures). In this post, you could find some old and new recap posts from Our Kawaii Tokyo.

Kawaii Wish List: Yokohama Loft (Updated)

After hanging out with my friends at Nana's Green Tea in Yokohama, we decided to drop by at LOFT to buy some stationeries. I thought of snapping some of the items I would want to buy in the future but I can't right now. Just by taking photos of these things, I felt like I already went shopping. Well virtually, in my head..
